On Your Bike

389.jpeg Cpl Louis Smit received a 'Watt' bike from JJMF. With the money raised on The Annual Stretcher Race JJMF were happy to present the 'Watt' Bike to Louis. Cpl Smit was serving with the Parachute Regiment when he was caught in an explosion in 2011 which resulted in a right lower leg amputation. JJMF have bought the bike to help Louis with his recovery. CPL Smit said "Thank you again Jeff & Joyce & everyone who supports your great charity, this bike will make a continued positive difference in my recovery"

13 Mile TAB

387.jpg This year on the day of the annual 2 Para stretcher race in Southam 30th June , a 13 mile TAB will take place starting at Coventry's War Memorial Park. This site has been chosen as a memorial tree dedicated to Jeff "Doc" Doherty is positioned next to a National Airborne Memorial, a fitting start line. The route will then move out of the park heading out of Coventry towards Southam.Arrival will be planned for the start of the strectcher race - approx 17:00. Boots and a 35lb Bergen are the order of the day , but anyone can come along and join us even if you just fancy the run in trainers shorts etc.All we ask is you raise some much needed funds for the JJMF charity. This will be a great event to take part in, making up part of a really special day and night. Further details to follow.

Recent update

The story so far. We have managed to buy over a dozen i pads for wounded and injured soldiers that have been taken into the q & e hospital in Birmingham. We have managed to make several donations to the injured and families. Also sent out over eight hundred goody boxes to troops on the front line. Made two donations to the parachute regiment have. We have bought a robotic hand to aid an injured soldier, and sponsored other fund raising events. We will be starting to help horse riding for the disabled and will be starting a shooting club we will be starting a disabled polo team shortly with members of the parachute regiment and of course any family that needs our help will get it straight away. Caryn 'Sparkle' Basi and chickens thank you for the donation that has been paid in its a lot of money and all at the jjmf would like to thank you once again a total of £ 980. also once again a massive thank you to those that have taken time out to raise money or have done sponsored events this year we intend to help more and hopefully raise more awareness thank you all. New Merchandise

Sponsored bike ride in aid of JJ's Memorial Fund

380.jpg Janine Thomas are doing a sponsored bike ride to raise funds for JJ's Memorial Fund. They will be ridding in to Wooton Bassett. The Sherbourne Arms in Northleach have kindly offered Janine a place to rest her tired legs at a discount price, The JJMF would like to thank them for there hospitality.
